A: What can we do?

B: I don’t have a clue!!

A: She will kill us!

B: I know!!

A:  What if we pretend we haven’t seen it?

B: And what about the noise? We could have not seen it, but it is impossible to haven’t heard it!!

A: Sure…

(They hear something)

B: Shhh! She’s coming!  (Mum enters) Hi mum!

A: Hi mum! How are you?

Mum: Great! In a hurry, as usual! Let’s go quick!

A and B: Where to?

Mum: To the train station. Dad is coming back home tonight!!

(SILENCE)

Mum: I’ve said dad is coming back home tonight!

B: (hesitation) Ahh! Really? What a surprise!!

A: Yes!! What a surprise!

(Mum grabs the car keys)

Mum: Off we go! Into the car! Seatbelts, please!

(music sounding in the car and mum singing ridiculously)

A: (whispering) Well, tell me what to do.

B: (whispering back) No, you tell me. You are the eldest so you must have a solution for everything.

A: (continues whispering?) A solution for explaining mum what happened? And what’s worse: explaining mum and dad?!!!!! I don’t have a solution. The only thing I can do is….

B: Great, tell me.

A: It’s…

B: Say something quickly, we are nearly there!!!

A: I’ll tell them it was your fault. Yes, that’s it. Yesterday you licked my carrots before mum went into the kitchen so…

B: And you hid my broccoli under the sofa and told mum that I had thrown it to the bin!

A: (raising his voice) Yes, but that was after you…

Mum: So, tell me guys, what’s going on? Why are you whispering? Are you preparing a surprise for dad? Oh, you’re lovely! My dear boys!

(ridiculous singing again)

A: Can you stop shaking your hand in front of my face?

B: You can’t complain, haha, I’m not touching you!!

A: I’m giving you the hi five in your face!

Mum: Can I hear angels talking at the back?

A: (touching B’s ears) Yes, this angel next to me with his ridiculous wings! Haha

Mum: PLEEEEEASE! Stop fighting now or I’ll leave you right here.

(two seconds silence)

B: Perfect, let’s keep fighting, she’ll leave us here and they won’t punish us.

A: OK, to the count of three.

A and B: ONE, TWO, THREE.
